Model Management states “it is different from the usual glamour and Artistic nude styles of photography because Boudoir enhances the sensual side of the model rather than the erotic. Pictures taken in a Boudoir style are more suggestive, rather than explicit, and typically feature subjects who do not regularly model.” (ModelManagement.com)

Another definition simply says, “a boudoir session is a photography session where you wear sexy outfits, lingerie, dresses, or even go scantily clad and get your photographs taken for a number of reason but guess what … only YOU need to know the reason you have them done!” (B. The cost of your boudoir session will depend on a number of factors, including the location, breadth of experience of the photographer, studio costs, location costs, and the final number and type of images you want and how you plan to display those images. Since every experience is unique it can be hard to compare. You should make sure you love the images that are shown on the website before booking.  

You need to feel comfortable so you should speak with the candidates, love their image style, and offer a package or products that you want. How are you going to display your images, book-album, box-large or small, or wall art is an important consideration?
